At 0:55, she removes the rectangle that is no longer needed. How do I do that if all is still selected?

13,925 PointsProbably way late on this- however, when you use the Shape Builder Tool, you'll already need to have both shapes selected. Then, you'll notice as she drags her mouse over the different shapes, a checkered background appear. Option + Click to remove the checkered shape from your new shape.
- use Direct Selection Tool to select both shapes
- click on the Shape Builder Tool
- Option + Click to remove the part of the new shape (checkered background) you don't want.
You probably already have this, but maybe future students will have this question while watching the video.
