When i run the command "git push" i do not get the output asking me for my username and password?

13,561 PointsWe would probably need more information to be able to help you. However there are a couple of reasons why you might not be asked for you password when you run git push
.
Perhaps you don't have anything to push. (Actually, I think you will still be asked.)
You have saved your password locally. Look at git config --global credential.helper store
You are using ssh for git communication, and have configured ssh to allow access without requiring a password every single time. This is probably the best way.
