"&-" will only steal the name of the parent, it will not reuse any of the parent CSS properties Example:

18,199 PointsFrom what I understand, you do still want to include @extend. You can try adding it right into your nested classes in workspace to see the difference of your css before and after adding @extend, but it essentially gives the same results that we see in the video.
