Do you have any other logo design process resources to share?

I have designed a lot of logos for restaurants and big brands over the years. It is one of the hardest design skills to get good at and one of the most satisfying.

Draplin is a master. Look for more videos on him — plus he is hilarious.

That video shows the heart of what logo design is about. Notice how the first thing Draplin does is basically research the hell out of the logo. Research and brainstorming is key to good logo design. It can take tons of iterations to get where you want or sometimes you just nail it on the first go.

The internet is a good place to start, but beware that there is so much garbage on the internet surrounding logo design — especially lots of places that claim to get a logo designed in minutes or for $10. Dont be fooled good logo design takes work.
