    So you're probably wondering where to start. 0:00
    My advice is you need to establish a digital foundation for you and your business. 0:02
    What this means is setting up not only your blog, 0:06
    but also setting up profiles on all the relevant social networks. 0:09
    Right now, that would include things like Google Plus, Facebook, Twitter, 0:13
    maybe Pinterest or Tumblr or other places. 0:16
    But you need to have that foundation—if nothing else, 0:19
    so that when someone searches for you on that site, they find you. 0:22
    Now, keep in mind, all these other sites are rented land. 0:27
    You don't control them. In most cases, you don't pay for them. 0:30
    So the rules can change. They decide what's allowed on their site. 0:33
    This is why you need to have a blog of your own that you control. 0:38
    Setting up a blog on your own domain is the most crucial thing to content marketing. 0:43
    Then you'll use all these other sites to drive the traffic to your site that you can control. 0:50
    By having your domain on a server that you control, 0:54
    when you publish content, you know it's going to be there. 0:57
    You know the links are not going to change. 0:59
    You know that people are going to find you. 1:01
    So set up that foundation on all the other sites. 1:03
    Share all the content you create on them, but make sure that you have a blog 1:06
    that you've set up on your own that you're driving all the traffic to. 1:10
    Because at the end of the day, if they're not coming to your site, 1:13
    it's going to be a lot harder to hire you, get in contact with you, and give you money, 1:16
