You didn't pass a function as the second agument to 'addEventListener'.

how do i pass a function to eventlistener?

After a comma to separate it from the first argument, you can either put the name of an existing function or you can create an anonymous function expression. The latter is a popular use of "arrow" functions.

There are examples of this in the video lesson just prior to the challenge.
