I am stuck on a problem with even and odd program.
as per the instructions, I am implementing the following code:
import random
def even_odd(num): return not num %2
start = 5
while start == 5: num = random.randint(1,99) if even_odd(num) == True: print("{} is even".format(num)) else: print("{} is odd".format(num)) start = start -1
will I submit check work, it tells me Wrong number of prints.
I've been executing the same code in workspace and it is running properly there. I am not able to understand, why is it not accepting while I am submitting the answer to complete the challenge.
import random
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
start = 5
while start == 5:
num = random.randint(1,99)
if even_odd(num) == True:
print("{} is even".format(num))
else:
print("{} is odd".format(num))
start = start -1

loop condition, the code is has start == 5 which means "when start
is exactly 5
". After the first iteration start
becomes 4
and the while
loop exits. Change the condition to be start > 0 to continue the loop while start
is between 5 and 0.
