Hi Aaron,

If you want to link the images you are going to need to add an anchor tag. Not sure if I am completely understanding your question. Maybe the code below will help you out?

 <section>
      <ul>
        <li>
          <a href="www.google.com"><img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt=""></a>
        </li>
        <li>
          <a href="www.google.com"><img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt=""></a>
        </li>
        <li>
         <a href="www.google.com"> <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt=""></a>
        </li>
      </ul>
    </section>

Aaron you're on the right track here. Check out this snippet, this should give you the direction you're looking for for the footer.

<footer>
  <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
  <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TeamTreehouse"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="Facebook"></a>
  <a href="https://twitter.com/treehouse"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="Twitter"></a>
</footer>

that was the straightest answer out of every ones, being a newbie lol.

thanks every one I finally nailed the question earning my self a cool badge
