Would anyone happen to see why my Portfolio Item list isn't linked right? Or one of my other links for that matter? Thx!

I keep going back to the tutorial and screenshot it with my phone, It looks to me as if I'm doing it the same but obviously I'm missing something here. Thanks!

Hope your day is going well thus far, hopefully I can be of some help!

I noticed the following things with the code you supplied:

1. You are trying to add the navigation element within the anchor tag that contains the headings, I think this code question wants you to create the nav element within the header, but after the anchor tag you are currently placing the markup in.

2. There does not appear to be any closing tag for the nav or ul elements.

To fix the above issues you can simply move the navigation markup directly after the anchor tag. Also, when creating the nav make sure you don't forget to place the closing </nav> and </ul> tags.

All in all the code should look something like this:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

Hope this was able to solve your issue, and if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask!
