164 Pointsworkspaces: How do you open a workspace when you're not in the treehouse tutorial - open a real workspace?

16,656 PointsYou need to be on the treehouse website to access workspaces. As soon as you login to treehouse you can see the menu on the left hand side.
Workspaces is a text editor but one that is browser based so you have to be online to use it. If you want to use your own there are various kinds to choose from. I would recommend downloading sublime or Atom.
They can be found here:

164 PointsThanks for a reply, but can you walk me through when I first sit at my computer - how will I find the icons that I see on the left side of the screen as I am typing my reply to this now?

15,358 PointsDo you want to access a workspace that you previously had started in a tutorial? Like Pete said above, there is an icon on the left of the screen that says "workspaces" when you hover over it. When you click that you'll be taken to a page of workspaces you've created during lessons. You can also click the green plus button for a new workspace. Workspaces is a handy tool for integrated lessons at Treehouse, but if you're going out into the wild on your own, you can just use your favorite text editor.
