152 PointsWorkspace and Challenges
I'm new here. Am I supposed to use the Workspace to do the Challenges? Is it supposed to sync my workspace work to the challenges? Right now I do the work on workspaces while I'm watching the video and then have to retype into the website for the challenges. There is a note in challenges that the challenge work should be there from previous lessons but mine is blank when I start each challenge. Something is wrong but not sure if it's the site or me.

231,261 PointsHi Kristy,
Some challenges start empty, some have a bit of code provided, it depends on the challenge. Challenge work does not carry over from previous lessons. But some challenges have multiple tasks, and the work you do for each task will carry over to the next task.
The challenge provides it's own work area, but it is not related to the workspace you might use to follow along with the video or use to try your own experiments with code. It does not "sync" or copy from the other workspaces. The challenge work area will appear in the same page as the instructions, and may have multiple tabs depending on the complexity of the challenge.
And yes, to complete the challenge you may have to retype something similar to what you did in the video, but if you read the instructions carefully, it will most likely not be exactly the same. So copying code from a workspace may be more confusing than helpful unless you are very certain you understand the challenge conditions precisely.
