iOS Object-Oriented Swift Complex Data Structures Custom Initializers

Working code not passing code challange, the preview is empty

I am on the last code challenge of Object-Oriented programming Custom Initializers and my code works fine in the playground but wont pass on the code challenge. It tells me to check the preview but the output.html it is empty...

structs.swift
struct RGBColor {
  let red: Double
  let green: Double
  let blue: Double
  let alpha: Double

  let description: String

  // Add your code below
 init() {
red = 86.0
green = 191.0
blue = 131.0
alpha = 1.0
description = "red: \(red), green: \(green), blue: \(blue), alpha: \(alpha)"
 }

Hey Leo,

First, take a look at the documentation for initialization: Swift 3.0 Initialization. I think a relevant topic is Parameter Names and Argument Labels.

Two things:

  1. Add argument labels to your init method, including the type of each argument (in this case, Double)
  2. Remove the values you assign in your init method. Those values will be provided when a struct RGBColor instance is created.

Thank you Matthew, I didn't get the whole thing with initialisers and how it was connected.. You cleared it up for me! Thank you for taking your time.

Check your initializer.

 init(red: Double, green: Double, blue: Double, alpha: Double){
        self.red = red
        self.green = green
        self.blue = blue
        self.alpha = alpha
        self.description = "red: \(red), green: \(green), blue: \(blue), alpha: \(alpha)"
        }

Thank you Chris, you're the man! I know realise that I read the exercise very wrong...
