I am showing my utter newness to WordPress.
I downloaded Desktop Server, and began working on my site. I do see its files in my Documents folder, however, I am not quite sure what to do to get back into the site.
WordPress only shows up in Image and Document files on my system, and not as a program.
In my Documents folder, which of the files will the .dev site be in, or will it be elsewhere? And, what do I do, in case I've forgotten my password?
Thank you.

Generally you can access your .dev site when the virtual server is running. run Desktop and then add the url to the browser. Does this work? Password stuff, you are working locally, so your password really doesn't matter because you are on a virtual server, keep the password like "password" it doesn't matter, only when you push the DB to a live site will the password be an issue. I use 1password as my vault, its great. If you have any other questions please ask.

I think you are mixing a few things up here.
WordPress does not get "installed" on the PC itself but is ran through Desktop Server. If you are using the most up to date version. You should not need a password to get back in as it will give you the option to login as any user listed.
In order to access your site, you need to open up Desktop Server and run with admin rights. Then make sure it starts up MySql and Apache. If it is not running, you will not be able to access it via the web browser though you can modify the files locally all you want.
Also, some anti virus software restricts the functions of Desktop Server as it does modify your host file so you do not have to.
