I have 3 separate questions I need help with, I'd really appreciate your thoughts and advice :)
My family and I recently started up a small fish & chips takeaway in our local area. We're struggling a bit to cover costs and make sales etc. Do you have any advice on how we should improve our business? Should I just google suppliers and find the right price? How do I set the right prices and promotions? Who should I talk to?
As a developer myself, I'm working on an online ordering system for our website very soon. Do you think using WordPress's e-commerce plugins are a good idea to implement an online ordering system? Is there a better solution?
I'm also trying to setting up SEO, social media marketing, and basically anything I can get my hands on to help market my business, do you know other ways of marketing online? I know most of us are programmers but if you could share some of your business knowledge and experience, it would still help a lot. Thanks everyone!

19,977 PointsIf you are struggling to cover costs you should be investing in other more fundamental areas of the business rather than in SEO and online ordering.
You are in Australia, why not use MenuLog to handle your online ordering and delivery side of the business.

As for #2 I would suggest Squareup by Square (the payment platform) since they have 0 fees for a website just the regular credit card fees. Handle orders and much more.

I would suggest that over wordpress + plugin since they made their software to handle payments. They do over other neat stuff like emails and I believe promotional stuff.
