Python Python Basics (2015) Number Game App String length

Why won't this string length code work?

I used this code to answer the question, but it won't work - why?

def just_right(word): if len(word) < 5: print("Your string is too short") elif len(word) > 5: print("Your string is too long") else: return True

Please help - thanks!

The challenge asks you to return the statements not print them.
