10,614 Pointswhy when we are learning anything in here we get the most simplest of examples, then when quizzed you leave the scope?
If I’m learning about classes, and i’m getting simple examples of how to create, and manipulate classes, then once it’s time for a quiz you completely leave the scope of what we are learning just to add some complex math equation, that only confuses the learner? I just don’t get it. you teach us something, very briefly, then expect us to either completely understand these concepts, or look at the videos over and over until i get it. this literally makes no sense to me. keep it basic. keep it simple. don’t confuse me with complex math equations simply to get me to practice classes. that only confused me. i see this constantly here, and almost every other learning platform. i want to learn, not be confused by something else i didn’t master, all while learning something completely new to me.

3,440 PointsI agree and have also noticed that the challenges will often ask us to do things that none of the preceding classes have taught us how to do yet. Wish the lessons and the challenges were a bit more in-tune with each other.

231,269 PointsI've always appreciated how the course examples were kept simple to make the concepts being taught easily understood, but then the quizzes presented fresh contexts for the concepts to be employed in to create solutions.
I don't think the overall presentation would have been nearly as effective if the quizzes just repeated the simple examples from the lectures. I found having to think a bit very helpful for retaining the material.

10,614 PointsYou, and your opinion is of someone that knows this stuff. I'm speaking from someone who has just began their journey.
The quizzes should be remained on the scope of what was spoken about, because we don't get a review. We just have to go and practice what was just told to us.
Look at a video, read some material, then move on to the next topic, and read material, then move on to the next topic, and no review about what was told to me, but I have to complete quizzes, and practices to get better?
I am new to this. I don't have years, let alone not even two months learning. No one sees it from the point of the new student.

231,269 PointsSure, I know some stuff now, but I was recalling my experiences when I was also first learning.
But it's possible I don't quite understand what the "review" aspect you find lacking would look like. I felt that the challenges and quizzes served as a "review" of the lectures. What might you expect to see that you couldn't get by replaying the lecture?
