I'll try it several times, and also tried on a IDE but it doesn't work, can someone help me please.
import random
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
start = 5
while start == 0:
num = random.randint(1, 99)
if even_odd(num):
print("{} is even".format(num))
else:
print("{} is odd".format(num))
start -= 1

Treehouse TeacherYour code isn't working because the loop never runs. You set start equal to 5 and then say to run the loop while start is equal to 0. Granted, you have a decrement operator in the loop, but because it never runs in the first place, you'll never see a result. Try this instead:
while start:
This will tell the loop to run while "truthy". And 5 is truthy, so it'll begin to run. Hope that helps you along the way!
