Why should getTileCount() accept a char?

public int getTileCount() { int count = 0; for(char nth_char: mHand.toCharArray()) { if(mHand.indexOf(nth_char) >= 0) { count +=1; } } return count; The message then says "Did you forget to create a method that accepts a char?" NO! I only wanted to count the number of matches at some point in the game. There is no char to pass in.

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  private String mHand;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    mHand = "";
  }

  public String getHand() {
   return mHand;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
    mHand += tile;
  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
   return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
  }

  public int getTileCount() {
    int count = 0;
  for(char nth_char: mHand.toCharArray()) {
    if(mHand.indexOf(nth_char) >= 0) {
      count +=1;
    }
  }
    return count;
  }
}

public int getTileCount(char tile) { // <--------- create a method that accepts a char
    int count = 0;
    for(char ti: getHand().toCharArray()) {
      if(tile == ti) {
        count++;
      }
    }
    return count;
  }
