Why is this not working?

public class GoKart { public String mColor = "red";

public String getColor() { return mColor; }

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public String mColor = "red";

  public String getColor() {

Hi Abhiram, you made a simple mistake; you're missing the closing curly bracket for your class.

public class GoKart { public String mColor = "red"; }

public String getColor() { return mColor; }

This is still not working

There you're closing the class before the getColor method, the class should encompass both the variables and its methods:

public class GoKart {
    public String mColor = "red";
    public String getColor() { return mColor; }
}
