Why is this not working?

name = "zach" subject ="Treehouse loves {} ".format("zach")

Hey Zach,

The problem is that you are not using string concatenation here! You're just using the format function. Try using the "+" operator instead! Hope this helps! Happy Coding! :)

Hey!

While using format definitely works and is great to use, this challenge wants you to use the "+" operator to combine the strings.

fav_subject = "Science"

subject = "My favorite subject is " + fav_subject
