Why is this CREATE SCHEMA 'movie_db' CHARACTER SET = utf8 ; incorrect in the code challenge?

Having some trouble creating a database in the code challenge.

create_db.sql 
CREATE SCHEMA 'movie_db' CHARACTER SET = utf8 ;

Got it. It was the single quotes on the database name.

CREATE DATABASE movie_db;

AHHHHHHHHHHH THANK YOU!!! now that that passes, why is it not accepting what the workbench said? for applications should we use quotes?
