Why is there no workspace for this course?

Guil Hernandez has provided workspaces for all the CSS courses in the Web Design track up until now, but this course doesn't seem to include one. I know I can download the project files, but it gets pretty tedious doing that for every new video.

Hey Rowan, I think it's a older course that came before the release of Workspaces.

You could download the project files associated with each video and upload them to Workspaces. So, that way you may follow along through Workspaces.

Thanks Robby. I wondered about that. Just gets kinda frustrating having to manually download the project files then either clear the previous workspace or create a new one before uploading. Thanks anyway.

Hi Rowan,

I wondered that too, but eventually found my way around Brackets which is a text editor. Sublime Text is also a very popular text editor that developers love. I found this Reddit thread helpful for choosing one:

Additionally here are links to Brackets and Sublime:

Cheers!

Thanks Hannah. I have been using brackets for a while and really like it so far. It still involves pausing each new video before it starts and downloading the project files then loading them into brackets. Not a huge deal, but workspaces would be much easier.

I agree with you Rowan that it is a little annoying. But I find that getting experience in a text editor is important too. So I have been using these exercises to get used to different text editors. I have been loving Brackets and Atom for these!

Brackets has too many bugs if you are developing it online : p

want a workspace... would be awesome.

want a workspace... would be awesome.

You can create a blank workspace from the workspace button and name it "layout techniques" as I have done. Just need to go and open it once you are ready to go. You will need to type out the html from the screen but its good practice

true Richard, I was just lazily looking for convenience :) I went the sublime text route. cheers Hannah
