HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Make It Beautiful With CSS Select and Style by Element

Why is the link to external fonts BELOW the link to local CSS in the HEAD element?

In the course Introduction to HTML and CSS, the link to external fonts is BELOW the link to local CSS in the HEAD element.

In the How to Make A Website course Nick Pettit says the link to the Google fonts goes UNDER the Normaliser link but ABOVE the local CSS link in the HEAD element.

Which is correct?

:point_right: The order is not important if the CSS does not reference the included fonts.

But if the CSS makes use of the fonts, the fonts should be linked before the CSS. It's probably a good habit to use this order anyway in case of future modifications.

If a "normalizer" is used, it should always be linked first to establish the baseline environment.

Thanks Steven.

The link to the external fonts is never referred to nor does it influence any of the exercise, so as you say the CSS is not ever referenced, but I just wanted to check.

Thanks again Steven.
