why is the example 796px as the min. width when a mobile phone is 480px? i thought this was the mobile first approach

can someone plz help explain why this is the case? i also want to make sure that the views i see in dev tools chrome are accurate enough for really representing what the website will look like on a phone? what is the best way to see how it will look on all devices?

To avoid needing to make revisions every time a slightly larger device is introduced, it's common to place breakpoints midway between typical sizes of devices of different types instead of exactly at an existing device size.

The dev tool simulators in browsers are very good for previewing site appearance on various devices, but nothing beats viewing in on the actual device if you need absolute accuracy.
