6,425 PointsWhy is the API design used for `vote-up` and `vote-down` a `POST` verb, instead of a `POST` and a `DELETE`?
I'm asking because I have always had this question for actions like favorite/unfavorite, friend/unfriend and even though I went for a POST/DELETE design, I never knew why I did that, it just sounded it should be that way.
Now I'd like professional advice on why should I design it with just POST, so that I can learn it the proper way. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: this question is supposed to be about the https://teamtreehouse.com/library/building-the-answer-routes video, but the ASK button appears to have posted it as a general thread(?)
