The file downloads and opens, it just opens saying 'no preview available. Tried on several computers with same results.

Courses Plus Student 11,734 PointsAre you opening it in a text editor? You will not be able to open a css file in something like MS Word, it needs to be a text editor like Brackets, Sublime etc..
