1,120 PointsWhy is it telling me to leave my printf statement intact when I didn't change anything?
I added exactly what it wanted but seems to think I altered my statement.
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "Alec";
console.printf ("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

Treehouse TeacherHi there! You're doing fine, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure exactly why your code passed step 2. The problem here? An extra space. Remove the space between the console.printf
and the open parentheses, and your code passes all three steps!
Hope this helps!
