why is "int" written in lower case?

Hey there,

Yes, case is very important in Java, as well as other languages.

In Java int is a primitive type and must be written all in lower-case. You'd receive an error if you use an Upper-Case letter. All primitive types in Java and lower-cased.

You can have a look here for more info on these types.

Keep Coding! :) :dizzy:

Simple answer is that integer is a primitive data type. So it is Lower Cased.
