Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

Why does this not work in the code challenge?

/*Declarations*/
String firstName, language;
String formatOutput;

/*Assignments*/
firstName = "Andrew";
language = "Java";
formatOutput = "%s can code in %s!";

/*Output*/
console.printf(formatOutput, firstName, language);

I usually code the challenges differently than asked due to preference and consistency. so why does this not work?

Hi Andrew!

Your code is correct, my mocking is not. I was only asking for one string formatter in the code challenge and did a bad job at mocking it ;)

Lose your second string formatter and put in Java, and you'll have a passing exercise!

Sorry about that, I will beef up my mocking.

Thanks!

It is all good, I figured it out! (Most of the time it is something along those lines, just do EXACTLY what the challenge expects.)

Thank you Craig!
