Courses Plus Student 23,889 PointsWhy does the 'home' page appear twice (once as a 'custom link' and again as a 'page') when customizing a primary menu?
When following the course to customize the primary menu, I noticed that my 'home' page appears twice in the list of available pages to select: once as a 'custom link' and once again as a 'page'. You can see this in the course video around the 1:00 mark.
I tried both and they both seem to lead to the same page when clicked. What is the difference between these two options? When would I use one over the other?

16,593 PointsThe reason why you are seeing two home page links is because WordPress has a default Home
which can either go to the blog roll or any other page which is considered the home page. Since you created a page called Home, you could use either one so long as your static homepage is set as the front page: https://codex.wordpress.org/File:static_front_page_setting.png
