Why does it tell me this?

It tells me : "Something is incorrect. Check that you wrote an if statement inside the method. Check that you're using dot notation. Are you using the this keyword?"

object.js
const player1 = {
    name: 'Ashley',
    color: 'purple',
    isTurn: true,
    play: function(){
if (this.isTurn === true) {}    }
}

You can check an objects propertys value with the dot.notation syntax. Remove the triple equals and the boolean.

const player1 = {
    name: 'Ashley',
    color: 'purple',
    isTurn: true,
    play: function(){
if (this.isTurn) {}    }
}
