Python Python Basics (2015) Number Game App String length

Why does a challenge task fail with no information except "Bummer!Try again!"?

I've tested my code by running it on my machine. It run with no errors and meets the requirements given. With no feed back other than "Bummer!Try again!" I have no idea what it is about the code that is being reject. Any hints more descriptive than "Bummer" are greatly appreciated

strlen.py
def just_right(string):
    if len(string) < 5:
        print("Your string is too short")
    elif len(string) > 5:
        print("Your string is too long")
    else:
        return(True)

Hi Jeremy, Your syntax is correct, but it is not what the challenge is asking for. The instructions for the task explicitly ask you to return the strings, but you are using print. Challenges are very picky and specific in what they check for, so you always have to provide exactly what the challenge specifies.

Just change those print statements to return statements and you're all good. :)

Keep Coding! :dizzy:

Thanks Jason, I figured I was overlooking something I just couldn't see it. Was getting super frustrated with the Bummer message! I mean give a guy a hint : )
