Why did you not mention any of the Microsoft Software and applications as examples in the videos - Fundamental of Computer Languages, What Some Common Languages Do and How They Work Together, Programming Paradigms? Are they not good programming languages as well or taught at Treehouse?

Treehouse TeacherYou ask about why Microsoft applications aren't used as an example. But an application is not a programming language. An application is written in a programming language. And some of the programming languages mentioned are not operating system dependent such as Java and JavaScript. However, if you take the newly opened Game Development track and the C# modules as well you'll be learning C# which is Microsoft's native programming language. Hope this helps!

Treehouse TeacherNo idea. You'd have to ask the staff. I agree that it should have probably been on the list somewhere.
