It says I need to make sure my image tag displays "img/numbers" etc. What am I missing??

In your list items you have anchor elements containing image elements. The challenge simply wants you to have list items with images.
Simply remove the anchor tags so the structure is like this.
<li><img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt=""></li>
