why am I getting this bummer?

this is the code and feel free to tell me what din't work: String firstExample = "hello"; String secondExample = "hello"; String thirdExample = "HELLO"; if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) { console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");

Im not sure either, when I run your code in jshell I get a NullPointerException, but if I use System.out.printf("text goes here"); to receive the output it works.

Hi, this code does work:

String firstExample = "hello";
        String secondExample = "hello";
        String thirdExample = "HELLO";

        if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) { 
            System.out.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case"); 
        }

Replace console with System.out
