16,885 PointsWhy am I getting an error about string interpolation when I believe I am using it correctly?
I am trying to pass the challenge for creating an instance method and I am getting an error about string interpolation:
"Make sure the implementation of description matches the directions. Hint: Use string interpolation!"
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
var title: String
var author: String
let tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filled under \(tag.name)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

21,046 PointsHey Jeremiah Jacquet,
It may not be a problem with string interpolation but rather the resulting string does not match what the challenge is asking for.
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
var title: String
var author: String
let tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
// I think you need to change "Filled" to "Filed"
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()
Hope this helps.
