In my opinion, everyone will have a different answer for you. IDEs are like any other program used by people (e.g. Word Processors or Text Editors). Each will have there own opinion. Each will have their favorite. Each will have different reasons why.
If you are working Freelance, you are pretty free to choose your favorite, for whatever reasons. If you are working within a group or for a company, they may or may not have a company / group standard, so you may or may not be able to pick which one you want to use. In this case, you adapt.
My apologizes that I didn't provide a more concrete answer... problem is that there really isn't one to give. You just go with what you prefer, or what you have to use.
