Where should I start and end with to learn how to make and run a sales webpage for my friend to sell her art?

My friend knows Im in school to learn development and design for any and all things. She knows I completed on online class on creating a basic webpage and asked me to make and run a sells webpage for her but like I said it was the basics I need to know more on design how to make checkout all that good stuff.

First, you will need to identify who would buy her art. Who is her target market? Then ask yourself, "how would they find her site...what would they type into Google?" Take a look at the competition and see what you like, what you don't like, write down why you like and don't like what you see, and then develop your own style based off of your observations. Determine if you want to build a custom site using straight HTML/CSS/JavaScript, perhaps you might choose to use a framework like Bootstrap or Foundation. I personally recommend WordPress for sake of ease in updating your friend's artwork and there are plenty of 3rd party plugins and themes to choose from that will get your development off on the right track and the site up and running fast.
