element then you need to use
p {
color: #000000;
}
instead of
{
paragraphs: #000000;
}

266 PointsAs an addition to the previous answer, due to the cascading nature of CSS, I tend to put all my selectors in the order they are on the page so my CSS file(s) are easier to search through for amendments. So, for example, my <p> styling would normally go between my "header" and "footer" so I know where to find it.
