This is what I got to pass the 3 challenges:

def add(num1,num2):
  try:
    float(num1) + float(num2)
  except ValueError:
    return None
  else:
    return (float(num1) + float(num2))

The statement in the try block does not assign to a variable and your repeat this statement in the return statement. This can be simplified by combining the two:

# option 1
def add(num1,num2):
  try:
    results = float(num1) + float(num2)
  except ValueError:
    return None
  else:
    return results

# option2
def add(num1,num2):
  try:
    return float(num1) + float(num2)
  except ValueError:
    return None
