Where do methods and properties of the document object reside?

In the chrome dev tools, when I expand the window object I see the document object, but when I expand the document object I cannot find methods like 'getElementById'. What's the path of these methods and properties?

The built-in methods are part of the JavaScript engine and don't have a source file.
