3,016 PointsWhere Did Treehouse's WordPress Course Go?!
My account has been paused for a really long time now. I decided to check out Treehouse again because I think they had a pretty good WordPress course. I am thinking about adding WordPress development to my skillset, but I need a good course!
Thanks.

"Thanks for your reply. Our WordPress content was several years old at this point. We let go of our WordPress teacher about 3 years ago and we're not looking to rehire a new one any time soon. The content is now reaching a point where it no longer meets our standards and because some of the material is outdated, it's causing confusion and frustration for some students, which is why it was retired.
It's not being phased out in the job market as a whole, it's just not a topic that we're focusing on at this time.
We'd recommend posting your question on our Community forum, to see if any other students or our teaching team can recommend any other resources or sites to check out for Wordpress. We aim to address most questions such as this on our forum so that others who may have similar inquiries can see it posted there and save them the time of awaiting a reply from one of our teachers."
So that's that I guess....anybody have any other sites that they know of that have a great Wordpress tutorial?

Courses Plus Student 15,917 PointsFor anyone who is looking to get into wordpress, I used Treehouse to learn HTML, CSS, JS and PHP. These are the main languages you really need to be able to do wordpress. The rest, wordpress wise, is quite easy to find on youtube. I recommend looking into WP queries as a base, and then understanding good plugins like ACF.
Good luck!

"Thanks for reaching out! All of our WordPress content was retired a couple months ago. Unfortunately, we have no plans to reintroduce that content or replace it with new courses."
I asked what the reason why was and am awaiting a response...

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 30,657 PointsI just came looking for the Wordpress Theme Development course/track too to find it is gone. Any one from Treehouse know why this is? Are they being re-done for Gutenberg or wp-rig? Would love to find out when something is coming.
