When will j-unit fail to catch errors in a given code?

I am devicing an experiment and trying to study shortcomings of junit.

The JUnit GitHub repository has lots of issues being tracked, here is the link to the issues (specifically those labeled as bugs). It should cover your answer as far as known faults.
