When do we write the code? meaning for the first video when you open console everything was filled out and when I tried doing what he did it did not work? so basically do we practice the code in the workspace or not?

9,821 PointsJust like I learned Swift. I used Xcode to write codes or complete challenges. For me, worksapce is hard to use. You can download IDE like Eclipse, or NetBeans. I personly used Eclipse. Also, you need to download (java jdk), otherwise Eclipse will not work. Website to set up Eclipse for window: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf6Qp-ecsog
