Don't see what I am missing. Help please!
Sincerely
class TodoList
  attr_reader :name, :todo_items
  def initialize(name)
    @name = name
    @todo_items = []
  end
  def add_item(name)
    todo_items.push(TodoItem.new(name))
  end
  def find_index(name)
  index = 0
  found = false
  todo_items.each do |todo_items|
    if todo_items.name == name
      found = true
      break
    else
      index += 1
    end
  end
  if found
    return index
  else
    return nil

3,313 Pointshuh wow, I see that this declares the array index name. But I dont see how this method can say anything about wether the value is found true or not. Strange you also have to delete the lines threehouse gave you. Anyhow it works. Thanks!

19,323 PointsHiya there! Phew, that challenge took me a while but eventually i figured it out where the issue lies with this challenge. You've to return true if you find the item in @todo_items, otherwise false. I dunno why wouldnt Treehouse update this challenge. Anyways here is the solution for your reference ( and yes it has nothing to do with variables index and found):
class TodoList
  attr_reader :name, :todo_items
  def initialize(name)
    @name = name
    @todo_items = []
  end
  def add_item(name)
    todo_items.push(TodoItem.new(name))
  end
  def find_index(name)
    @todo_items.index { |item| item.name == name }
  end
end

19,323 PointsJesse Van Der Heijden Thats the thing Jesse! The question was itself an incomplete question where they provided you some default initial values and methods right? But the behind the scenes, the answer implemented into the challenge is different. I think you nailed the code with respect to what was asked in the challenge. And your code was returning either the index and the value nil. But you see the challenge only accepts booleans.
