I think you're looking for a method on a primitive. int doesn't have a toString method. Probably a couple ways to convert an int to a string. eg.

      mPassengersField.setText(""+mSpaceship.getNumPassengers());
     mPassengersField.setText(String.valueOf(mSpaceship.getNumPassengers()));
      mPassengersField.setText(new Integer(mSpaceship.getNumPassengers()).toString());
