try to define what kind of length are you using.

auto - the browser calculates a margin
length - specifies a margin in px, pt, cm, etc. Default value is 0px

example:

body {
   margin: 0px auto;
}

in your case:

a {
  text-decoration: none;
}

#wrapper {
  margin: 0 940px;
}

I think it's a little mixed. Try to format it properly

It should be:

wrapper {

 max-width: 940px;
 margin: 0 auto;
  }

Hope this helps!
