14,268 PointsBasically, all browsers have their own custom styles. Normalize.css removes these custom styles and inconsistencies so you can be sure your site looks the same across all browsers.

14,268 PointsNormalize.css doesn't technically remove the styles from the browsers, it overwrites them.
For example, if Firefox has a 20px margin for h1's and Chrome has a 10px margin for h1's, your normalize file might set all h1's to 15px so we can be sure your site starts off with the same base styling for all users/browsers.
