What type of jobs does Java Web Development TechDegree prepare you for?

Just reviewing some options and considering taking the next step with Treehouse. Given that it is an investment, I wanted to understand the types of jobs that the Java Web Development Techdegree could possibly prepare a student for? Are there any success stories or job descriptions that might line up with the skills I would learn in this tech degree program?

Thanks!

Hi John!

I can't answer your main question, specifically on what types of job that particular techdegree might lead to. But if the Java Techdegree is anything like the Front End Web Development Techdegree, I would really recommend it. I finished that techdegree, and it helped me get my first web development job!

Hopefully someone else can bring some more information on the Java techdegree for you. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your reply. Did you feel like the feedback you got on your projects was helpful or just standard canned responses?

The feedback was great! I felt that the reviewers spent time actually looking at my code and pointed bad practices out to me so that I would improve on my next project. There will be like "checklists" the reviewer goes through and the feedback on those won't be too special, but every review ends with an "overall comments" where the reviewer goes into more detail on what you did good, what you might want to improve and so on.

If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them!
