What technology will give me the best return on my time investment?

I completed the front end course and am working on putting together my front end portfolio, but I still feel like I want to learn new things.

So my question is: what is the best use of the limited time that I have? I am torn between starting the full stack Javascript course (this may give me a deeper understanding of a language that I like using), or a front end framework like Angular or React (since it seems a lot of companies look for these skills in new hires), or is there something else I'm not thinking about?

I'm not looking for the "right" answer-- just a good argument from a more experienced developer than myself :-)

Thanks, community! Cheers, and happy coding!

While frameworks are popular, no single one of them is used universally. Plus there are many development opportunities where none are used.

The skills acquired from Full Stack Javascript will be useful where frameworks are used and where they are not.
